VELscope screening
Early oral cancer is often invisible to the naked eye. A blue light reveals the natural fluorescence of soft tissue, making cellular changes in the tongue, cheeks, palate and throat far easier to spot. Included in our comprehensive examinations.
Restorative Dentistry
Fillings, crowns & bridges
Composite fillings are colour-matched and usually done in 45 minutes or less. Crowns cap and protect a cracked or heavily restored tooth. Bridges span a gap without surgery, anchored to the healthy teeth on either side. Fixing a cavity now is what keeps it from becoming a root canal later.
Dental implants
A titanium post replaces the root, integrates with the jawbone over several months, and is topped with a custom crown. It's fixed, cleaned like a natural tooth, and doesn't lean on its neighbours for support. Implants need healthy bone to work — if yours needs building up first, we'll say so before you commit to anything.
Dentures
Partials replace several teeth and anchor to the ones you still have; full dentures replace an entire arch. Beyond chewing and speech, they restore the facial support that's lost with the teeth. We fit, adjust and maintain both — and we're honest about the adjustment period.
Cosmetic Dentistry
Veneers & bonding
Composite bonding sculpts tooth-coloured resin straight onto the tooth to fix chips, small gaps and worn edges — one appointment, no lab wait. Porcelain veneers are thin custom shells that change colour, shape and spacing across the whole smile. Dr. Maryam's approach is deliberately conservative: results calibrated to your face, not a uniform set of white blocks.
Invisalign
We start with a digital scan — no impression trays — then map exactly which teeth move, in what order and how far. You wear each clear tray about 22 hours a day, removing them to eat and clean, and switch sets every week or two. Most plans run six months or longer.
Whitening
Zoom! uses the strongest professional gel available and delivers the biggest shade change in a single appointment — the usual choice when there's a wedding on the calendar. Laser whitening is gentler and better suited to sensitive teeth.
Surgical & Comfort Dentistry
Extractions & wisdom teeth
We try to save a natural tooth first. When one can't be saved, a simple extraction is quick and well-frozen. Third molars often arrive sideways or half-erupted, inviting decay in the tissue around them — we handle straightforward wisdom tooth removal for teens and adults, starting with current X-rays to map root position. Expect a few days of soft food and a full aftercare sheet before you leave.
Sedation dentistry
Dental anxiety is common and nothing to apologize for. Sedation can be delivered orally, through nitrous oxide, or intravenously depending on your needs and the length of the appointment. You stay conscious and able to follow instructions, though most people remember little afterwards. Arrange a ride home for anything other than nitrous oxide.
